ABOUT ME
From the age of 9, and perhaps even younger, playing and creating music has been a guiding light in the dark for me. It has been my go-to activity in times of stress and turmoil. So, when the opportunity arose to study the theory and practice behind something I love so deeply, I jumped at the chance to take it.
I have always thought of myself as musically creative and often find myself strumming new melodies or humming new tunes absentmindedly. I think if I had to describe myself in three words, it would be 'passionate about music'. And alongside that comes a great appreciation of audio and sound production in general. The stronger this appreciation grew in me, the more I realised that, whatever I did in life, I wanted it to be related to that.
At the moment, I'm in my last year of my BSc in Audio Engineering at Perth College UHI. I have gained an invaluable skillset during my time here and it has encouraged me to look more closely at my desired career path and the ways in which I can apply my skills to create the best possible content.
So far, I have participated in many fantastic projects, such as my own sound dub for a trailer of the major video game Red Dead Redemption 2. This project intertwined two of my greatest passions: sound production and video games. My enthusiasm allowed me to create great content and helped me further develop my skills in this area.
As an extracurricular activity, I also participated in the GJL Game Parade Summer 2021 Game Jam with some friends who are students in the video games industry. I wanted to see what the working world of game production was like and how my skills as an audio engineer would contribute. My work for both of these projects, amongst many others, can be found here on this website. I am proud to showcase my work and am confident it will lead me into a fulfilling career where I enjoy challenging tasks and can truly put my skills to the test.
